About Me
In 2006 George opened the sales office located in Brewer Yacht Haven, Stamford, Connecticut. Prior to joining Brewer Yacht Sales George spent 30 years in the marine magazine business as an Advertising Director with “Sailing World” and “Cruising World”. In 1989 George started Sailing Sports Marketing a division of the two magazines that developed and promoted sponsored events such as the NOOD (National Offshore One Design) regatta series. In 1995 he moved to ShowBoats International, a magazine for larger luxury power yachts.
Primarily George has been a racing sailor. His accomplishments included four Bermuda races, two trans-Atlantics and three SORC events before he was 24. Even with his love of racing George has an extensive cruising background including the Mediterranean, Northern Spain, Portugal, Africa and the Caribbean. He has sailed to Cuba and delivered boats from Maine to San Francisco. He is still active racing sailboats but has also owned a Bertram, so his experience goes beyond sailing.
George is a member of Yacht Brokers Association of America and the recipient of Brewer Yacht Sales Team Player and Back Cove Broker of the Year Award.
